Ye shall have a song, as in the night when a holy solemnity is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goeth with a pipe to come into the mountain of the LORD, to the mighty One of Israel. - Isaiah 30:29

Sleep - The Holy Mountain
This is the epitome of Sleep. Much more developed than Volume 1 (which I still love, btw), the riffage and the headyness of this record is truly unrivaled by any of their contemporaries. From the first note in Dragonaut to the riff heavy, slow/mid paced guitar/bass lines in Nain's Baptism, you'll find yourself nodding your head to the hypnotic note melding and vocal alchemy that this record is best known for. If you like this, you've got to check out Dopesmoker.
