Regulations - Electric Guitar

Regulations are an 80's American style hardcore band from Sweden. This is their first Ep's collection, Electric Guitar from 2005. They sound a lot like Minor Threat, Black Flag, Dead Kennedy's, Sex Pistols, hell, anything from around that time you can hear in this band. They're currently my favorite Havoc Records band. You'd benefit greatly by listening to this record, I guarantee it.

Om - Conference Of The Birds

Om's 2nd record is an aeronautic experience of sorts. You can even say it elevates you to the object form, if you prefer. It's not as "heavy" as the first, but it's twice as heady. Give it a spin, and give that bong a rip. Hell, give me a rip too! I'm serious!

Om - Variations On A Theme

Variations On A Theme is the excellent debut from this stoner duo, OM. Comprised of Al Cisneros and Chris Hakius of Sleep, the riffed out song structures are much like their previous band, without the weed-centrism they were known for. I know that Om songs tell stories, but I'm not exactly sure what they're trying to say... Yeah. Pretty heavy stuff. It isn't my favorite release of theirs, but it's a great record to start with if you haven't heard them yet.

Sleep - Vol. 1

Sleep's debut album, Volume 1, sounds a lot like a heavier continuation of Asbestosdeath than their later stuff. It's raw, punk as fuck, and you can tell even from this first recording that they would eventually create a near flawless style that would influence many bands to come. A few of these songs are also Asbestosdeath songs, so if you like them, you'll love this. I suggest The Holy Mountain if you dig this!

Sleep - The Holy Mountain

This is the epitome of Sleep. Much more developed than Volume 1 (which I still love, btw), the riffage and the headyness of this record is truly unrivaled by any of their contemporaries. From the first note in Dragonaut to the riff heavy, slow/mid paced guitar/bass lines in Nain's Baptism, you'll find yourself nodding your head to the hypnotic note melding and vocal alchemy that this record is best known for. If you like this, you've got to check out Dopesmoker.

Extreme Noise Terror - A Holocaust In Your Head

This album has got to be one of my favorite crust/grind albums of all time!!! Well, that and Disrupt's Unrest. I first bought this in the 8th grade and have owned it many times since. The track listing is all fucked and the lyrics are always wrong if you don't buy the original LP, but nevertheless, this album is fucking epic. See if your roommates like it as an alarm clock :)

Candlemass - Epicus Doomicus Metallicus

This is the first record from early Doom band, Candlemass. If you're into metal in general (not just Doom), you'll benefit greatly by picking up this album. The vocals aren't tortured or strained, but it's pretty rockin', for sure.
